THE CENTRE

The Adelaide Convention Centre is regarded as one of the world’s most modern, flexible and technologically advanced meetings and events centres. A striking landmark on Adelaide’s Riverbank, the Centre comprises three independent yet seamlessly integrated buildings—East, Central and West—and offers more than 20,000sqm of flexible meetings and event space. Each building takes advantage of our prime positioning on the River Torrens, providing plenty of natural light and panoramic views of the river to deliver a heightened sense of destination.

LOCATION

The Centre is conveniently located at the heart of the City. To the North, the Centre overlooks the River Torrens and surrounding parklands, while to the South, the Centre sits on North Terrace, one of four major terraces that bind Adelaide’s City Centre.

The Adelaide Riverbank Precinct is a hive of activity and where the City’s cultural, sporting, education, medical, conference and entertainment zones merge, making it Australia’s best connected business events precinct.  In addition to the Centre, Adelaide Oval and Adelaide SkyCity Casino, the Riverbank Precinct is home to the world-leading BioMed City—the largest life and health sciences cluster in the Southern Hemisphere—which is located right next door.

Accessibility

The Adelaide Convention Centre provides a range of accessibility options and facilities. All car parks and buildings are wheelchair accessible.

Public Transport

Adelaide is home to an efficient, citywide transport network, including free tram travel within the City Centre. The closest tram stop is located right in front of the historic Adelaide Railway Station, which is just a two minute walk from the Centre.

In addition, three main taxi companies operate in the Adelaide metropolitan area and can be booked for pick up or drop off from our North Terrance and Morphett Street Bridge (West Building) entrances. For guests departing the Centre, a taxi rank is located on North Terrace, right on the Centre’s doorstep. Uber is also in operation within Adelaide providing another convenient mode of transport.

Parking

If you are driving to the Centre, we offer two undercover car parking options with our North Terrace and Riverbank car parks. The Riverbank car park is accessible from Morphett Street / Festival Drive.

Both car parks are located directly under the Centre and operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each is fitted with video surveillance camera systems and security patrols both areas.

Clearance is 2.0 metres and automated payment stations accept credit / debit cards (surcharges apply).  Please note that our car parks can reach capacity early in the day during busy events.
