SAHMRI LISTED ONE OF WORLD’S TOP RESEARCH INSTITUTES

Posted 11 October 2018

Adelaide’s reputation as a leading medical hub has been reaffirmed with the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) recently listed as one of the world’s top research institutions.

The ranking, bestowed on SAHMRI following a worldwide review by London’s The Times Higher Education publication, rated global institutions based on various factors, including number of publications and impact of work. SAHMRI’s placement at number 40 on the list sees it outrank a large number of well-credentialed centres.

SAHMRI is part of the world-leading BioMed City, the largest health and life sciences precinct in the Southern Hemisphere. The innovative medical precinct conveniently sits adjacent to the Convention Centre, placing more than 1,000 researchers, academics and clinicians—a ready supply of conference speakers and delegates—on our doorstep.

The Adelaide Convention Centre recently worked with SAHMRI to develop our new Honest Goodness menu, which has transformed the convention centre culinary experience with its emphasis on minimal intervention foods and conscious reduction of processed elements.
