Posted 5 December, 2025

Adelaide Convention Centre – South Australia’s home of business events – claimed triple honours at last night’s prestigious Australian Business Event Awards in Melbourne, cementing Adelaide’s reputation as Australia’s convention city.

Held as part of the annual Australian Business Events Association (ABEA) Conference in Melbourne, Adelaide Convention Centre was awarded ‘Venue Team of the Year’, ‘Convention / Exhibition Centre of the Year’ and the overall ‘Best Team 2025‘ in the industry.

The awards follow on the heels of Adelaide Convention Centre also being judged South Australia’s ‘Best Business Events Venue’ at last month’s South Australian Tourism Awards, and cap off a tremendous 2025 for the Centre, which has seen the team deliver more than 667 events. This includes 110 major national and international business events, which have collectively brought over 62,500 visitors to Adelaide, generating more than 157,000 room nights for local hotels, and injecting more than $300 million into the local visitor economy.

Sarah Goldfinch, General Manager of Adelaide Convention Centre, comments: “To be recognised like this by our peers in such a competitive field is extraordinary, and testament to the whole team’s passion, innovation, professionalism and commitment to delivering unforgettable guest experiences. The awards provide fantastic recognition of our continued investment in technology, sustainability and ensuring we provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests.”
