International delegates heading to Adelaide will now have greater choice and access to flights with the announcement this week that Qatar Airways will commence daily non-stop scheduled flights between Doha and Adelaide from 2 May, 2016.

The flights will be the first in Australia to be serviced by Qatar Airways’ new state-of-the-art Airbus A350.

Qatar Airways flies to more than 140 destinations around the world and will provide Adelaide with flights from the Middle East, Europe, India and the east coast of the United States.

This is great news for Adelaide, with Qatar Airways to offer 2,000 weekly seats on their services. These add to the other international carriers already servicing Adelaide, including Emirates and Cathay Pacific.

Last month, Cathay Pacific Airways announced they were adding a fifth weekly flight to Adelaide from Hong Kong, commencing 2 December 2015. The increase is a direct response to high demand from both inbound and outbound passengers.
