An exciting new range of casual dining experiences await delegates visiting Adelaide, with the recent opening of Home Ground on the Adelaide Riverbank Promenade. Conveniently located immediately below the Convention Centre’s new East Building, the stylish new venue provides a range of relaxed, indoor / outdoor dining, complemented by unrivalled views of the of city’s iconic Riverbank Precinct. The café court—a first for the Adelaide Riverbank—was outfitted by leading local architecture and design company, Studio-Gram, the masterful creators behind some of the hottest venues in not only Adelaide, but around the world.

Simon Burgess, General Manager, Adelaide Convention Centre, says the development of Home Ground supports the city’s vision to make the Adelaide Riverbank a ‘must visit’ destination.

“The name ‘Home Ground’ was drawn from the idea that our newly developed Convention Centre will be the home ground for a range of quintessentially Adelaidean experiences as well as a great spot for visitors to mix with locals and learn more about our great city and state,” comments Simon. “For business visitors, its positioning right on the Riverbank delivers a heightened sense of destination. It’s a fantastic spot for pre- and post- conference hours networking.”

Home Ground comprises three new permanent outlets: Goodbuns Diner, offering a modern twist on traditional favourites, such as burgers, hot dogs, and more; Sage Delicatessen, serving light, “on trend” dishes; and Home Ground Bar. The dining precinct also incorporates the well-established R Bar, known for its casual, seasonal menus, and two pop-up outlets which will be offered to South Australian food and beverage producers to showcase their wares.
