The Adelaide Convention Centre is hosting a record seven South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival exhibitions with the new West Building providing additional exhibition space for participating artists.

On August 5th, nearly 600 guests attended the launch event, which was open to the public and gave the artists the opportunity to interact with the crowds and talk about their art.

Promoted simultaneously as part of the Centre ArtBeat program, there are nearly 160 works on display which include sculptures, paintings, photographic collections and ink drawings.

The exhibitions are open to the public every day until August 31.

The Adelaide Convention Centre’s Centre ArtBeat program was developed to help local artists exhibit their work for free to the thousands of state, interstate and international guests that visit Adelaide and the Centre every year.

Since Centre ArtBeat was launched in 2012, more than 25 exhibitions by local artists have been hosted at the Centre. Thousands of dollars of artwork has been sold to visitors with all proceeds going to the artists.
