Adelaide Venue Management, operators of the award winning Adelaide Convention Centre, have announced they will be investing up to $9.7m to build upon the Centre’s competitive advantage, including construction of an outdoor canopy and cafe court to be known as Home Ground.
Fully funded from Adelaide Venue Management operating profits, Home Ground will consist of five leading South Australian food and beverage retail offerings featuring outdoor, undercover and indoor affordable family dining on Adelaide’s Riverbank Promenade. Other enhancements will include initiatives to allow activation of the outdoor grassed event space in front of Centre and installation of additional operable walls within the Centre to maximise operational modes for the staging of conferences and exhibitions.
The Adelaide Convention Centre’s East Building is scheduled to open 30 August 2017, with Home Ground and outdoor event initiatives to commence from November 2017.
