The Adelaide Convention Tourism Authority (ACTA) markets South Australia as a business event destination in domestic and international markets. It has been entrusted with the responsibility of promoting South Australia's convention industry for more than 30 years. It makes an important contribution by attracting high-yield visitors to business events in the State and by coordinating, managing and leveraging government and private marketing activity.
ACTA links the products and services necessary for the professional planning and delivery of business events and provides the forum for cooperation between federal, state and local government, and the private sector.
ACTA will work with locally, nationally and internationally based conference organisers to provide the following free assistance:
- Tender support and coordination during the bid for an event
- Hosting of decision-makers on tailored site inspection or familiarisation programs
- Local industry product and service referrals
- Advice, support and information throughout the entire conference organising process
- Provision of collateral and information regarding Adelaide and South Australia to support future events
